NO SECRET CODES TO REMEMBER...NO HIDDEN BUTTONS! The Ravelco Anti Theft Device is installed in an easily accessible place under or flush mounted in the dashboard. A removable16 pin male plug (which when not in use connects to your key chain) makes all the
electronic connections. A hidden armored steel cable protects the wires from the
rear of the RAVELCO base through the firewall to the engine compartment where
all the connections are made, then hidden and camouflaged. These connections have the ability to disable multiple circuits that
are critical for the car to run and start, for example: the starter, fuel system, ignition
system, computer system, cam or crank sensor. All connections are made in the engine compartment - none in the cabin
or under-dash area. Interesting aspects of the Ravelco Anti Theft System include the fact that
these wires work in pairs, and if a thief starts clipping them, the car simply will
not run. When the plug is removed from the RAVELCO, it is impossible to start the vehicle. Trying to imitate the coded plug by probing the base unit proves impossible as well - with over 100,000 combinations, through 16 holes, the thief immediately starts blowing fuses when attempting to override the base. TRUCKING Organized crime rings are the driving force behind big rig and heavy equipment theft. With no security offered by the factory on most big rigs, drivers are faced with the huge risk of having their tractors stolen. In most cases tractors are worth upwards of $100K while the trailer and cargo behind it can easily exceed a million dollars. Ever wonder where all the "black market" merchandise comes from? That illegal business starts with the theft of trucks. Let's not forget the fact that most truck drivers careers depends on his Big Rig...with out the truck, there is no income. HEAVY EQUIPMENT Heavy equipment often has little physical machine or site security, is valuable and is easy to sell. A car theft will be discovered hours, if not minutes, after the crime. A heavy equipment theft on a Friday night might not be discovered until Monday morning.
